Hi, I’m an artist with a passion to create not “just” wall art but “all over prints” for shoes, clothing, fabric, wallpaper, home decor products and gifts. I find my inspiration from nature in Hampshire on the South Coast of England, where we enjoy mild temperatures, easy access to the beautiful New Forest and gorgeous sandy beaches. I have a husband and am a Mum of three, with two cats and a dog. I’m mostly to be found painting in my home studio, where the coffee is usually on.
Although I work mainly on my own design projects, I’m equally happy to work with Interior Designers, Wedding Planners , small businesses and boutiques alike. Sometimes my customers send photos of their work, which you can see at the Boutique Gallery here. I will consider requests for bespoke fabric/wallpaper and also art commissions, workload permitting. Making my clients happy makes me happy, so lets talk about possibilities and design solutions.
I have a confession for you : Magenta Rose is not my real name, it’s my Illustration name! In colour psychology, Magenta is the ultimate colour of love, so it seems perfect to embrace my creative gifts and passion that I share with you – and which enriches my family’s life as well as others. Roses, just bloom, you know! No complications, no nonsense – just bloom!
Shop my art, fabric, wallpaper, furniture, gift wrap, phone cases and skins, bed sheets and duvet covers, cushions and throw pillows, shower curtains, clocks, mirrors, coasters, cards, clothing and much more. Follow me on social media to see my latest work. I often post new designs and special offers on Instagram and Id love to connect with you there. I appreciate your custom because it helps me to support my family and help others too. Ways I have been able to help out local charities include practical help, financial help and donating my art and services, where possible.
In a previous life I worked as an Architectural Technician and have an eclectic background of art and design, interior design, product and textile design. Animals, nature and architectural styles (especially art deco) inspire me a lot. I’ve always loved to paint, but after retraining in surface design I found a lot more doors opened! To chat about commissions, special orders, custom designs or anything else please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or message me on my Facebook page and I’ll do my best to help, workload permitting. I can also send you photos of my available original paintings, if you would like.
Thankyou for supporting me to support others and to expand my design portfolio❤️
A few years ago, when looking for a particular fabric, I realised how limited the high street fabric stores are and I designed a simple black cat fabric on Spoonflower for my own use. I decided to make it available for others “just in case” anyone should buy it. The next thing I knew, Colette Patterns had made a top with it and featured it on their blog! That was encouraging…and after realising that people wanted to buy my designs, I began to create more.
As a result of posting on social media, I found that I was contacted by clients who said that they admired my fabrics on Spoonflower, but said they didn’t sew or have time to sew. The answer was to branch out into product design with a view to making my art available and inclusive to all. As a result, I opened print on demand shops where I now sell ready made clothing, accessories, home decor, art prints and gifts. Details of these are on my shops page.

It would be great to connect and please do come back to see my latest designs!
