Thanks for visiting! During my childhood I doodled so much that I drove my teachers crazy, so there were even fairies on my Maths books! My love of art and design lead me to retrain in surface design and it’s a constant journey of possibilities and discoveries. I am working in my husband’s business and create charity art work for The Waterfall Trust. I am also available for commissions and constantly creating new art and designs! I love to be busy and I heard that “If you want something done, ask a busy person!” I think it’s true! Anything is possible if you simply make the time to make your goals achievable. I don’t watch much TV and I’m a bit of a workaholic, which helps!
When looking for a particular fabric, I realised how limited the high street fabric stores are and I began designing fabric and wallpaper for Spoonflower primarily so I could have a particular cat fabric for my own use. The next thing I knew, Colette Patterns had made a top with it and featured it on their blog! That was encouraging…and after realising that people wanted to buy my designs, I began to create more.
As a result of posting on social media, I found that I was contacted by clients who said that they admired my fabrics on Spoonflower, but said they didn’t sew or have time to sew. The answer was to branch out into product design with a view to making my art available and inclusive to all. As a result, I opened print on demand shops where I now sell ready made clothing, accessories, home decor, art prints and gifts. Details of these are on my shops page.
